The Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park hosts theatre company People Show for a week of fantastical performances. Ghosts are about, and some have dogs. Magical water features are created by human fountains. The Pump House is itself transformed to present living local stories from its 150 years history. A solo show of new work by artist Jodie Carey. Somewhere, Nowhere explores concepts that centre on ideas of time, memory and materiality. Evoking the idea of a home and its history in the gallery space, materials such as blood, bone and ash become pigments that stain the floor and mark the walls. The focus is on a transitory, ephemeral and corporeal beauty, evoking notions of time passing, memories fading, absence and loss. FREE ADMISSION For more info

These newly launched monthly family days are a chance for you to see the exhibition and get involved with FREE creative workshops. These are drop-in workshops and booking is not necessary. For more info

The Power of Flowers

Inspired by Jodie Carey’s use of flowers within her art practice, we are presenting half day flower arranging classes by local Wandsworth florists Gardenia. Learn new skills and take your own creation home with you. You will be given information on how to care for, and get the best out of your flowers and inspirational modern ideas using both traditional flowers with a contemporary twist.
