"Can you dig it?!
A sampling of the Films from the Blaxploitation era and Voice Over
by Fr3deR1cK

What is this Hip Hop thing?
What are the kids talking about these days?
What is cool?

To find the answer one must travel back in time to the Blaxploitation era of the late 1960's and 1970' where love, pimps, gangsters and the  battle against 'the man' persisted. This venerable era, which boiled over from a 250 year history of slavery, a 100 year history of apartheid, a dismantling of counter cultural organizations and the assassination of heroes ultimatley led to the creation of the current popular music genre - Hip Hop. "Can you dig it?! offers a
sampling of Films from the Blaxploitation era and Voice Over by
Filmmaker and historian, Fr3deR1cK.

Fr3deR1cK is a filmmaker who believes that the story is in the telling.  A documentary filmmaker, the locations of his latest projects have included informal settlement villages in Nairobi Kenya, Hospitals for the poor in Lima, Peru, and villages on the coast of Constanza, Romania.

Fr3deR1cK is also the owner of Tomorrow Pictures.TV, an internet network with 25,000 unique visitors every month that showcases his own film works alongside other curated content from around the world.

Born in Chicago, Fr3deR1cK holds a BA in Film from Temple University and an MA in Television from Georgia State University. When not on the road filming he resides between Atlanta and Los Angeles.
