GardenFest: A Celebration of the Gardens at the Museum
June 3 -12
Kick off the garden season with these exciting events that take place in and around the Museum’s historic gardens. Activities are free with Museum admission unless noted.
Garden Gang Plant Sale

Heirloom perennials, unusual annuals, and fascinating succulents range from $5 to $50. Many are similar to those found in Miss Florence’s garden. Proceeds benefit the Museum’s garden projects.

Make a Painting Sundays

Every Sunday
1-5pm
Free with Museum admission.
Every Sunday, visitors are encouraged to try their hand painting en plein air,
in the open air, just like the Lyme Art Colony artists. Painters are given
brushes, palette, paint, canvas, and a smock and are invited to paint down by
the river or in Miss Florence's garden. All ages and skill levels welcome. There
are also hands-on art projects, books, games and puzzles to enjoy. A great way
to spend the day. Complete your day with scavenger hunts and visit the historic
artist studio.
