The Photographers Gallery za is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Over the past 10 years the gallery has established a reputation for hosting exhibitions by mid-career talents.

Newcomer Gary Van Wyk's style and exciting archive of images of friends, family and strangers called for a review of this tradition. Inspired by Cartier-Bresson, Van Wyk’s uncanny ability to capture the decisive moment is evident in this series of work.

Family Snap Shot exhibition also opens on 6 July and showcases a selection of photographs by invited guests, including Fanie Bekker, Kristine Berg, Fred du Preez & Bruce Gordon amongst others.
