ARC Gallery and Educational Foundation

ARC Gallery is proud to introduce fourteen artists from the Paris artist collective Le Genie de la Bastille to the art community and the public in Chicago through an exchange program featuring exhibitions of their artwork and associated educational presentations and special events.

Le Genie de la Bastille is a group of artists from an eastern section of Paris. They arrange exchanges with artists of other countries every year, and they launched their "Artist Ateliers Open Doors" in Paris 1984.


Other events open to the public during this artist-exchange program:

 

July 25-29   Exhibition of digitized works on paper by the artists of Le Genie de la Bastille and the members of ARC Gallery in the lobby of the Thompson Center, 100 West Randolph Street

July 26, Tuesday 5-7pm  Opening Reception of the Thompson Center lobby exhibition in the Illinois State Museum on the second floor of the Thompson Center

July 27, Wednesday 12pm Thompson Center 2nd floor Conference Room.  The French and American artists will talk about their work to the public. (Check the lobby exhibition that day for the exact location of the talk).
