Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It's my pleasure to give you a brief update regarding the Texas
Contemporary Art Fair in Houston, Texas this coming October. The
show has taken shape with a wonderful group of dealers and excellent
contemporary programs;
Coming from NYC will be Lennon Weinberg,
P.P.O.W., DCKT, Susan Inglett
Gallery, Fredericks & Freiser, Gering
& Lopez, Nancy Hoffman Gallery, Dean
Project, and Tally Beck Contemporary along with
Brooklyn's Like the Spice Gallery and Muriel
Guepin. We are pleased to announce the participation of
Lawrimore Project from Seattle, Misako &
Rosen from Tokyo, Manneken Press from Chicago and
Frederic Snitzer from Miami. Joining from LA will be
Steve Turner Contemporary, Paul Kopeikin
Gallery, ACME, Samuel Freeman Gallery
and Charlie James Gallery. A strong group will
be joining us from San Francisco including Catharine Clark
Gallery, Baer Ridgway Exhibitions, Rena
Bransten Gallery, Jack Fischer Gallery and
Paul Thiebaud Gallery. Established local contemporary
dealers such as the Texas Gallery, Inman
Gallery, Moody Gallery, Sicardi
Gallery, Wade Wilson Art and Gallery
Sonja Roesch will present alongside fresh Texas programming from
Bryan Miller Gallery, Art Palace, San
Antonio's David Shelton Gallery and brand new Austin space
Champion Gallery.
We are expecting a great turnout to see the curated installations from
the Blaffer Art Museum, University of Houston and the
Rice University Art Gallery and we look forward to
putting on a great show for the members of our participating museum groups
such as the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston,
Museum of Fine Arts Houston Contemporaries, and the
Menil Contemporaries. We also look forward to welcoming
the memberships of numerous local arts and cultural organizations to the
Texas Contemporary including:
