Enjoy the upcoming long weekend at Wave Hill! A special garden walk is offered Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

After the hottest July and rainiest August ever, Wave Hill’s gardens are spectacular. The Flower, Aquatic and Monocot Gardens are rewarding destinations this time of year, especially on one of the many walks planned this month. Starting in September, Wave Hill is a-buzz with programs that focus on bees, honey and beekeeping, beginning with Hive Culture, the exhibition opening in Glyndor Gallery September 13, and continuing throughout the fall season.

Remembering 9/11
Sunday, September 11
Admission to the grounds is waived all day, welcoming visitors to use the gardens as a peaceful place for reflection and contemplation. At Wind Elegy, visitors are invited to inscribe or illustrate strips of natural-fiber paper with personal reflections in observance of the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The flag-strips will be affixed to the Pergola to flutter gently in the breeze, later being composted to rest in the garden.
