WEXNER CENTER FOR THE ARTS
For immediate release: August 31, 2011 DAVID SMITH SURVEY TRAVELS TO WEXNER CENTERColumbus, OH—David Smith: Cubes and Anarchy, a thematic exhibition featuring more than 75 works by the renowned 20th-century American sculptor, will be on view January 28–April 15, 2012 at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus. Organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the exhibition brings together more than 75 works from throughout Smith’s career, including his geometric metal sculptures, as well as paintings, drawings, and photographs. Born in Indiana, Smith (1906–’65) is widely heralded as one of the country’s most important artists.
