#1 - Being outside before winter hits
What better way to spend a gorgeous fall day than outside soaking in the wonderful temperatures? Throw in soul-inspiring art and well-made craft, and you have a perfect event for the season.
Crisp blue skies provide the backdrop and the changing leaves provide the ambience. The Guild then provides the entertainment with artists, music, fresh food and kids' activities.
#2 - Great wedding & holiday shopping
35% of weddings happen during the fall months. And craft shows provide the most uniquely special gifts - ones that were designed and created by hand by a local artist. Of course we can't forget the impending holiday shopping season. It's not too early to start socking away distinctive gifts for your family and close friends. A craft show presents a low stress alternative to the mall, and a tactile alternative to online shopping. The holidays are busy enough to not want to be worrying about what you're going to be getting everyone. Get it over with early.
#3 - Meet & talk to local artists
Our artist members are not the starving artists portrayed in the world of fiction. Our members are thriving from their art through the support of the community. Potters, furniture-makers and clothing designers all have a key role in our culture and society. Get connected with the community by knowing where your local craftsmen live and work.
