Art hits the streets in less than two weeks
CAFKA is celebrating our tenth anniversary and we want to share it with you. Over the past decade we have been producing international exhibitions of contemporary art in public spaces across Waterloo Region. In recognition of the variety of strategies employed by contemporary artists to negotiate the complex social, political, psychological and aesthetic terrain of a looming ecological dystopia, the theme for this year's exhibition is Survive. Resist.
We are excited to showcase
20+ projects this year in locations throughout downtown Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. We would like to extend an invitation to everyone in our community to come and experience these works of art for yourself. You can see a complete listing of all projects, and our event schedule on our
new website.
This is your personal invitation to join us for two very special CAFKA events on Saturday, September 17, 2011
