The PINTA Museum Acquisitions Program is an initiative that promotes the acquisition of Latin American artworks by a select group of museums to enrich their permanent collections.
The following museums will participate in PINTA NY 2011:
The Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York
Newark Museum, New Jersey
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
Since 2007, thanks to this program more than 20 museums have acquired about 50 artworks worth more than USD $800,000. PINTA has collaborated through its matching funds to cover a portion of this total cost. The museums that benefited are:
