VASA

Events: November 1-
8, 2011
VASA is one of the
co-sponsor/partners
A. D. Coleman Lecture
Panel Conversation:
Colin Finlay & Roberto
Muffoletto
This event is co-sponsored
by
Viewfinder
Photography Gallery, Hotshoe
Gallery,
and VASA
In reference to Allan
Coleman's lecture:
Spoonfed.co.uk selected
Coleman's
lecture as one of its top
5 talks
in November.
Heavyweight American
photography critic
and author AD Coleman
is at Hotshoe Gallery
to discuss the history
of photography criticism
over the past 40 years.
Coleman was the first
dedicated photography
critic for the New
York Times and is
considered by many
to be the first postmodernist
writer on the medium.
The decline in art
criticism in the past
few years has been
widely lamented, so
expect this to be
a fiery but fascinating
discussion.
A. D. Coleman is
a recognized photography
critic who has influenced
and reported on photography
and the lens culture
since the mid-1960s.
Coleman is a VASA
faculty member
and sits on the VASA
Advisory Board.
