Funding and Development News
There are some unique ways that may provide you and your family an opportunity to support ACA’s mission and strategies before December 31, 2011. One of these opportunities allows individuals age 70½ or over to exclude from taxable income distributions up to $100,000 that is paid directly from their individual retirement accounts (excluding SEP or SIMPLE IRAs) to a qualified charity such as Atlantic Center for the Arts, Inc. The contribution can be used to satisfy any required minimum distributions that you must otherwise receive from your IRA in 2011.
If you have further questions, please contact your IRA custodian or tax professional, or ACA’s Director of Finance/CPA Kevin Miller at 386.427.6975 x14. Since ACA is a public nonprofit, you can also donate gifts of cash, stock and life insurance.
One of the most important investments we can make in artists is time and space to explore new ideas and take creative risks – your year-end gift makes a positive impact and a big difference!
