GRACIE Holiday Shop
Featuring Peter Shire's Echo Park Pottery & Lynn Hanson
GRACIE, SMMoA's shop, will expand for a holiday boutique featuring a unique selection of colorful, functional, and decorative ceramic wares by renowned artist Peter Shire's Echo Park Pottery. Original drawings and paintings by distinguished artist Lynn Hanson will also be featured.
The expanded GRACIE Holiday Shop will host an array of festive holiday events and extend its hours to accommodate shoppers in search of unique, eclectic gifts. Many exclusive items can be found only at GRACIE; so hurry in for all of your holiday shopping.
GRACIE treasures include jewelry by acclaimed designer Lisa Jenks, Christmas ornaments and menorahs by Jonathan Adler, and sustainable wood toys by David Weeks Studio. Join us for the Bergamot Station Arts Center Open House--30 Open Doors--and attend this special book signing.
In Boetti by Afghan People: Peshawar, Pakistan, 1990, artist/photographer Randi Malkin Steinberger documents the singular evolution of Alighiero Boetti's embroidered works from initial concept to final masterpiece. Her photographs trace the journey of Boetti's cloth drawings from his studio in Rome to the Afghan women's refugee camps in Pakistan. Through Steinberger's perceptive eye and illuminating words (as well as those of others) we see and feel the poignancy of the artist and the artisans who together created one of contemporary art's most exquisite and powerful bodies of work.

WORKSHOP: Holiday Fun @ GRACIE Good Luck Talisman for the New Year Be inspired by the work of Peter Shire, Echo Park Pottery, and Beatrice Wood to create your own original ceramic gifts. Make a lucky ceramic talisman while you learn the techniques of glaze painting and 'scraffito' etching. Talisman workshop fee: $5 for small, $7 for medium, $9 for large.
