THE USUAL SUSPECTS  SATURDAY DEC 3rd @ ART HOUSE GALLERY & CULTURAL CENTER
RECENT PRESS
Description
The core members of a band formed specifically to play British Invasion songs at the San Francisco Free Folk Festival and psychedelic folk-rock at the El Cerrito Free Folk Festival earlier this year have received such enthusiastic audience response that they have decided, "the show must go on!" So it is that the East Bay Merseyside All-Stars -- or their subsequent incarnation, the Inevitable Merseyside Transition -- have added significant contributions of their own original material to the much beloved pop-rock covers of their Folk Festival roots, and emerged as The Usual Suspects with a debut scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd at the Art House in Berkeley.

"While some groups might be daunted by the unplugged environment of the Art House, we revel in the challenge!" the band's Fearless Leader, Bryan Uhlenbrock, explains enthusiastically. "We were born from years' worth of local jam sessions! Unplugged is second nature to us!" Vocal goddess Karen Imperial and instrumental wizard Doug Jones nod in agreement, while the band's most recent addition, violinist extraordinaire Sandy Ross, rosins up his bow in preparation for the musical extravaganza ahead.

The site of their upcoming performance, Berkeley's Art House Gallery and Cultural Center is located at 2905 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley CA. Doors open at 7 PM and the show begins at 7:30, with a $10 donation requested. For more info on the band and samples of their repertoire, check out their web-site at wheresjeannine.com/WheresJeannine/MerseySide.html -- or you can check out their entire El Cerrito Free Folk Festival set on YouTube!
