POOL ART FAIR CELEBRATES SEVENTH YEAR AT ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH

Fair relocates to Sadigo Court, making it the closest exhibit to the Art Basel Miami Beach epicenter

WHAT/WHO
Frere Independent is proud to present the seventh edition of PooL Art Fair Miami Beach, slated for Dec. 2, 3 & 4, 2011. Located at Sadigo Court, PooL Art Fair is the closest exposition to the Miami Beach Convention Center, the epicenter of Art Basel Miami Beach. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 from 5 to 10:30 p.m.

PooL is the only exhibition to present independent artists who are otherwise unrepresented during Art Basel Miami Beach. The simple, modest approach of the PooL Art Fair offers an exciting alternative to the typical art fair experience for dealers, collectors and the general public. By creating a meeting ground for outstanding artists, primarily those who do not yet have gallery representation, the fair serves as an invaluable resource for the artistic community and the general public. Contemporary art dealers, artist agents, emerging galleries, artists' collectives and non-profit organizations are also invited to apply to participate as exhibitors.

Frere Independent offers artists the opportunity to be a part of the distinctive cultural environment that manifests during Art Basel Miami Beach. It is a unique opportunity for gallery owners, curators and other art enthusiasts to discover artists that are not shown in other art fairs. Artists are additionally able to sell works while expanding their network, and receive invitations to exhibit or create site-specific works.

The fair selects artists whose works are original and challenging. Exhibiting artists use hotel guest rooms to display their work, creating a unique and personal setting.
