Welcome to the first newsletter of 2012. In this newsletter you will find information about our art and design fairs in 2012 including the new Angel Spring Fair taking place in March. We are now accepting applications for stands for all of our fairs via our online application form. We will be holding three exhibitions before the first fair and Candid Arts are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for artists to exhibit their work in Berlin in May. Details for all exhibitions are below as well as an immediate studio availability.
We are also pleased to welcome Swing Patrol to Candid Arts, a new swing dance class every Tuesday for all levels.
January Exhibitions
ART OF ANGEL
19-22 January
Following on from the success of Art Below Regents Park during 'Frieze season', Art Below are proud to present Art of Angel, which sees the transformation of the walkway at Angel Tube Station into a public art gallery for the whole of this month. Billboard space normally used for advertising is now featuring a mix of urban and contemporary art with a diverse range of techniques and influences by artists from around the globe.
On the 19th January Art Below are launching a four day exhibition of the artists original work at Candid Arts. Over the 4 day exhibition Art Below will be staging 'live painting performances' on a large scale by acclaimed artists including Inkie, Johan Andersson, and Johan Wahlstrom, giving the visiting public an intriguing insight into the creative process and techniques involved in their work. As well as photography and painting there will also be sculptural work by Schoony and Art Wars, and projected video work by Eleanor Lindsay Fynn and Open Prize winner Sidsel Christensen.

PLAYBACK SOUTH
Playback South public shows are on the first Wednesday of every month at Candid Cafe.

Tickets for all shows £8 (£5 conc) on the door.
Playback is the theatre of the unexpected. It takes the audience on a journey through each others' hearts and minds. Surprising stories spring into magical life, words are made flesh and the everyday brings forth epics.

Reawaken Your Creative Spirit!
Intuitive Drawing and Painting is designed to encourage creative freedom and to allow intuition to guide your art. We will explore ideas, techniques, different styles and materials through exercises and creative projects. This workshop is suitable for adventurous beginners through to experienced artists.
