We are pleased to introduce our exciting program for the Vernissage of this edition of PooL Art Fair New York, this Friday March 9th at the Flatiron Toshi Hotel on the corner of 26th and Broadway.

This year's schedule of events includes brand new performance pieces by New York based artist Katya Grokhovsky, Martinique based artist Habdaphai, and an ongoing performance by Tim Roseborough in his room #305.

PooL Art Fair will also proudly host a benefit for the civil rights activist Amelia B. Robinson at 5:00 pm. PooL Exhibitor Allen Vandever will present Ms. Robinson with new work as a gift.

The private viewing will begin at 6:00 PM and as the evening continues, the PooL Art Party starts at 9:00 pm in conjunction with Leopold Vasquez's The Sound of Art. The party will continue after 10:00 pm when exhibitors close their doors to the public.

Status Update is a live performance that pulls the pseudo-personal digital language of Social Media into a physical reality of old-fashioned, hand-written, acrylic on canvas banners. Katya holds the banners while standing and posing or walking amongst the audience, sometimes uncomfortably close.

Habdaphai : Performance in the lobby

Habdaphai will perform live, representing a person incapable of pronouncing self pronouns such as I or ME. The work alludes to identity issues and self-reflection.

BRIDGE TO THE FUTURE will be held during New York's premiere art fair, The Armory Show. This special event aims to raise necessary funds and awareness to preserve the legacy of Amelia Boyton Robinson, the eldest surviving civil rights leader. The event will be hosted by South Sudanese socialite NuNu Deng, filmmaker and actor son of Oliver Stone, Sean Stone; and Chicago based artist Allen Vandever. The event will be held at the TEAM ART! exhibit at POOL ART FAIR, curated by the founder, artist Thiery Alet.

Guests will enjoy a private preview of THE POOL ART FAIR before their grand opening as well as libations and a one-of-kind gift bag, all at the suggested minimum donation of $30 USD at the door and from 5 to 6pm only. All art in the TEAM ART! exhibit will be donating a percentage of sales as well as put three specially created pieces by Allen Vandever based on the life of Ms. Robinson up for silent auction, with all proceeds going to the fund.

Sound of Art launch Party : Lobby

While you're enjoying these performances, and the exhibitor's rooms- VJ/ DJ artist Melissa Ulta will provide the music and video art throughout the events in the lobby, with multiple artists joining her.
