NOMA & the Garden Study Club of New Orleans celebrate Art in Bloom – “New Orleans: Life in Color” on March 14-18.

Enjoy displays from 75 floral designers, garden clubs & artists. Proceeds benefit NOMA, Garden Study Club, New Orleans Botanical Gardens, Beauregard-Keyes House, Lazarus House and Longue Vue House & Gardens. Artist Elise Allen’s “Spring Fling” painting (on right) and many other works will be auctioned on Wednesday night!

Friday Night at NOMA: Ceili Party!
On Friday, March 16th NOMA is partnering with the Irish Heritage Organization, Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, and the McTeggart Irish Dancers of Louisiana for a fun filled evening of Irish music and dance! Join us for our Ceili Party, a dancing party where everyone joins in!

March 23: "Dario Robleto: The Prelives of the Blues"
NOMA is pleased to present a solo exhibition of work by conceptual artist Dario Robleto, featuring sculpture and works on paper from the past ten years. “Dario Robleto: The Prelives of The Blues” centers on the historical and emotional resonance of music, focusing on how music is absorbed and transferred across generations transcending barriers of race, time, and death.

April 24: "Leah Chase: Paintings by Gustave Blache III"
New Orleans chef and cultural icon Leah Chase is celebrated with “Leah Chase: Paintings by Gustave Blache III,” an exhibition of paintings depicting the kitchen of Dooky Chase's by New Orleans-raised artist Gustave Blache III. Presented in the Louisiana Galleries, this exhibition celebrates Leah's 90th year.

March 24: Faberge Egg Hunt
On March 24th from 11 am to 1 pm, NOMA will host an egg hunt in the beautiful Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Spend some time with the family, and enjoy catering by Cafe NOMA, Moon-bounces, a petting zoo, and off course, an egg hunt!

"Thornton Dial" on View Until May 20
“Hard Truths: The Art of Thornton Dial” presents over 40 of Dial's large-scale paintings, drawings and found-object sculptures. An iPod TAP tour ($3) includes video and audio of Dial and interviews with conservators, curators and photographers who worked on the exhibition and catalogue, organized by the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
