Den ersten Schritt aus dem goldenen Käfig hinein ins umfangreiche Rahmenprogramm von „Escape the Golden Cage“ 2012 macht der niederländische Künstler Abner Preis mit seinem „Super Hero Project“ und einer Performance in der Wiener Innenstadt. Selbst als Superheld verkleidet wird der Künstler auf seinem Streifzug, der auch über den Naschmarkt führen wird, die Menschen der Stadt durch Gesten und Verkleidungen selbst zu Superhelden machen und im Anschluss bei einem gemeinsamen Cocktail im Hotel „The Ring“ die Welt vor den bösen Mächten retten.

"High and Low Art im Bezug auf Urban Art"
Was ist Kunst? Was bedeuten die Begriffe „High Art“ und „Low Art“ und wodurch unterscheiden sie sich? Wo lässt sich Urban Art verorten und wie sieht es mit Kunst im online Bereich aus? Diese und weitere Fragen werden im Rahmen einer Podiumsdiskussion im K&K Telegrafenamt beantwortet werden. Moderiert wird der Abend von Autor und Kurator Thomas Edlinger, der gemeinsam mit dem Kunstsammler- und -händler Rik Reinking, der Dozentin der Humbold Universität Ilaria Hoppe, der Kunstanthropologin Elisabeth von Samsonow und dem Kunstunternehmer Marco Schwalbe über die Qualität der Kunst im Bezug auf Urban Art diskutieren werden. Höhepunkt neben den Statements der  Experten wird die Präsentation der weltweit einzigartigen 3D Art Gallery sein, die im Zuge von „Escape the Golden Cage“ 2012 erstmals offiziell gelaunchet wird!

Gemeinsam mit dem Popkulturmagazin The Gap veranstaltet „Escape the Golden Cage“ 2012 zum ersten Mal „Escape the Golden Gap“; eine Party, die ganz im Zeichen des begehrten Edelmetalls steht. Glänzende Masken für jeden Partygast werden bei dieser Festpremiere ebenso für goldene Stimmung sorgen wie farblich abgestimmte Cocktails und Outfits. Die Band Konea Ra und DJs wie Stefan Schlachter werden die Partygemeinde dem Motto des Abends angemessen mit goldig warmen Klängen beschallen und sie so zum Strahlen bringen!

Kunstwerke und thematisch abgestimmt mit der Ausstellung, durch die die Besucher zwischen den Gängen geführt werden, wird Liepold kreative lukullische Kreationen schaffen, die die Symbiose

The Dutch artist, Abner Preis, makes the first step of the extensive program "Escape the Golden Cage" 2012, with his "Super Hero Project" and a performance in Vienna's inner city.
Dressed as a superhero, the artist goes on his prowl which will also lead through the Naschmarkt. His adventure,   will make the people of the city to superheroes, by gesture as well as with disguises, and continue at "The Ring" Hotel, to save the the world from the forces of evil.

16th May I 19h I K&K Telegrafenamt panel discussion
"High and Low Art in relation to Urban Art"
What is art? What do the terms "high art" and "low art" mean and how do they differ? Where is urban art positioned and how does it look with art in the online sector? These and other questions will be answered in a panel discussion at the K&K Telegrafenamt.  Author and curator Thomas Edlinger, will host the evening, and will discuss the quality of art in terms of urban art along with the art collector and dealer Rik Reinking, the lecturer of the Humboldt University Ilaria Hoppe, art anthropologist Elizabeth von Samsonov, and the art entrepreneur Marco Schwalbe. The highlight of the evening, alongside the statements by the experts, will be the world wide premiere and official launch of a unique 3D Art Gallery, as part of "Escape the Golden Cage".

"Escape 2012" together with the pop culture magazine "The Gap" presents "Escape the Golden Gap" for the first time - a party that is dedicated to the sought-after precious metal. Glossy masks for each party guest, as well as the colour-coordinated cocktails and outfits, will give this premiere a golden atmosphere . The band Konea Ra and DJ's like Stefan Schlachter, set the motto of the evening with appropriate sound of warm golden tones, bringing the party community to shine!

In the exclusive setting of the K&K Telegrafenamt, chef George Liepold will serve "Golden Art" Dinner. Appealing to all senses, visitors are guided through each course of the 4-course menu, which is Inspired by the Art on display and matching the theme of the exhibition. Liepold will provide creative culinary creations, pointing out the symbiosis between art and cuisine. This unique experience is limited to 30 people and therefore we urge registration before it is booked out. 100 € will ensure an unforgettable evening with different people and varied creations by chef George Liepold  surrounded by unique works of art, in a historic setting.
