Openings and artist talks

Join artists Ani Afshar and Melissa Oresky as they celebrate their solo shows at the Art Center. Ani Afshar will discuss the intricate, hand-woven wall hangings and new tulle veil constructions in her show, “ Woven Gardens, Shredded Shadows
,” on view from May 20 until September 2. Melissa Oresky will talk about her new works on paper and video in her exhibition “ Trail

Still searching for your muse? Find her at Prints & Pints, where you can prime yourself for creating your printed masterpiece by gallery hopping to a live DJ while sipping suds from the cash bar. Teaching artist Elke Claus will show you how to make beautiful prints, layering images on top of each other to create true works of art. You can use materials provided by the Art Center, or bring t-shirts, fabric, paper - we'll print on anything!
