May 2012 : A healthy and affordable shot of event planning pragmatism for small businesses and non-profits, re-cap of the dublab fundraiser and our wedding division launch, AAANNND.... WE'RE MOVING TO DTLA!

Non-profits and small businesses in need of guidance, direction, or a healthy dose of reality in organizing their fundraising events and campaigns can now receive consultation support from Pink Cloud producers without a retainer! We recently did a one-hour session for Green Business Base Camp, a new incubator program for green businesses that will take place this week at the Colburn School, and blasted through a massive list of needs. Here's a peek at the agenda and outcomes:

1. Budget review (10 minutes) - GBBC came out with ideas for how to cut down their expenses by $30,000. Yes, in 10 minutes!!

2. Curriculum review (20 minutes) -  Adjustments were made to create a more personalized and smaller group experience. We suggested a restructuring of breakout sessions from 50 people to no more than 20 participants, causing a greater level of team support for individual challenges.

3. Experience design (20 minutes) - With little money leftover for decor, the main piece of advice focused on proper training of staff and volunteers. Customer service is the most important X factor for experience design, even more so than fancy sets or smart branding.

4. Sponsorship packages (10 minutes) - With just 10 days left to raise money, we suggested that they through any packages out the window and just pick up the phone to make some deals. Simple, but always great advice.

A 15 minute session is $50 and can be scheduled by emailing ale@pinkcloudevents.com.

We're incredibly grateful to all the sponsors who joined us in this effort to support new music shared for free on dublab.com: Bread and Wine Catering, Starry Kitchen, Thank you for Coming, Casa de Perrin, The Virgil, Liz Garo, Le Grande Courtage Champagne, Lagunitas Beer, Dry Soda, GOOD, Mister Styles and Incase. dublab is just $6k away from reaching its fundraising goal for the Spring Proton Drive. PINK CLOUD 9 UPDATE

Our new division for DIY weddings, Pink Cloud 9, has publicly launched and we're off to a great start! Daily Candy, Refinery 29, and plenty of blogs have been supporting us while Sarah is also blogging for etsy and HuffPost Weddings. We've helped more than 30 couples with small consultations on design, budget, or timeline and have signed up more than 10 couples to help them with coordinating their wedding day. Our goal is to help at least 150 couples before we kiss 2012 goodbye. Please help us reach that by spreading the word about PC9 to your friends! We made a two minute video to explain more about who we are and our services, which you can find on http://pinkcloud9.com.

WE'RE MOVING TO DTLA!

As elysian continues to expand its venue for weddings and events, we're moving our offices over to the Spring Arts Tower in Downtown LA tomorrow! The white walls are currently getting some fresh paint by some of DTLA's graffiti artists, spearheaded by lady graff artist, Blossom. Our summer interns Delaney Lew and Xenia Ferroni are revving up to start and we're super excited about our new home and hope you'll come over for a visit anytime you're in the area.

Please note our new address is: 453 South Spring Street, Studio 333, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
