Congratulations to the Best in Show winner Christopher Bohan and to the People’s Choice winner Karin Roth Cohen of our May 25th Sanford Art Walk! Central Florida is full of some amazing and incredibly talented artists!
The Historic Sanford Welcome Center is now calling all artists to submit their work for our next Art Walk show on June 22nd entitled “About Show about Nothing.” This theme includes any and all abstract art; as long as your art isn’t “something,” then you’ve hit the nail on the head. Feel free to tell any and all your artist friends.
To submit your work, fill out an application which can be downloaded from our website, or come pick one up from within the Welcome Center. Our hours are on our website. All work must be an original; it cannot be a print, and the deadline to submit your application is Tuesday, June 19th.
The Sanford Art Walk is a tour through the art venues of historic downtown Sanford from 6-9PM every fourth Friday of the month. In conjunction with this wonderful event, The Historic Sanford Welcome Center is proud to host Central Florida's only monthly juried art show with both a "Best in Show" award and a "People's Choice" award.
The juried exhibit will hang in the Welcome Center for the month following the show, until setup for the next month's event begins. During the hanging, the artwork may be sold through the Welcome Center. A 10% commission is charged if the work is sold the evening of the event, and a 35% commission is charged for all sales after the event.
