Thankful Hall Miller WE HAVE THE QUILT!
Thankful Hall Miller [1798-1864]
Thanks to generous contributions, we've been able to secure a historic quilt by Thankful Hall Miller which has a strong family link others in to the Permanent Collection. [To learn about the quilt, see our Blog page.)
Quilts can be fragile and they rarely survive long use. Most are loved to shreds. That's why this rare quilt still needs extensive conservation. Please consider donating to the museum's Acquisitions Fund to help get the job done.
Several of the Thankful Hall Miller family quilts will be featured in our fall exhibition, Great Quilts, Great Stories.

2 NEW RAFFLES!
Two wonderful items are now up for raffle to support the programs and mission of the New England Quilt Museum.
December 14, 2012 is the drawing date for a Janome Memory Craft 6600P sewing machine. Also included is a rolling tote, for a total value of $2,599. This fabulous machine was generously donated by Red Barn Sewing & Yarn Center [Merrimack, MA], longtime supporters of the museum. Tickets: $5.
On May 2, 2013, we'll be drawing the name of the lucky winner of a beautiful Aunt Grace Circle of Friends quilt. This 80"x80" quilt, designed by Judie Rothermel and Vicki Bellino, was machine pieced, hand appliqued and quilted by Shirley Bangma from a pattern and fabric donated by Helane Huntington [both of Uxbridge, MA]. We are so thankful for their support!
For more information on these raffles, visit our website, visit the museum, or call 978-452-4207 ext.16.
The winner of our last raffle -- for the beautiful Roseville Quilt -- was Helen Allison of Wallingford, Connecticut. Congratulations!

Parker Foundation Match Grant MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Earlier this year, the Theodore Edson Parker Foundation awarded the New England Quilt Museum a grant of $45,000 to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. In order to benefit, however, we needed to raise a matching $45,000 no later than June 1, 2012.
We are thrilled to announce that the goal has been met!
These funds allow us us to: - endow a permanent Curatorial Chair for better planning of exciting exhibitions to draw audiences; - produce a new publication about the museum's permanent collection; - improve strategic financial planning and endowment growth to ensure that the museum is here to fulfill its mission for another 25 years.
Our warmest thanks to everyone who contributed to making this challenge successful!
