The Floorwalkers

to perform June 17 in Scioto Park

29th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto concert series

DUBLIN, Ohio— (June 5, 2012) The Floorwalkers will perform June 17 during the annual DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series. The popular outdoor concerts feature an array of central Ohio and regional musicians onstage in the outdoor amphitheatre at scenic Scioto Park, 7377 Riverside Dr., in Dublin, just north of the DAC facility and south of Hard Rd. The weekly concerts take place on Sunday evenings through July 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each week. The concerts are free of charge and donations are graciously accepted.

The Floorwalkers was formed in 2000 during the band members’ high school days in Chardon, Ohio. Over the years, the band’s sound has matured and gained momentum, becoming one of Columbus’ more popular local rock acts and 614 magazine’s #1 Best Local Band of 2011.

The Floorwalkers’ original pop and soul with a touch of indie rock is an eclectic unique mix that blends rhythm & blues, hip-hop, gospel, folk, country & early rock into a smooth soulful cocktail. Since the release of their album “The Natural Road”, The Floorwalkers have toured nationally.

Concert guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the amphitheatre, and picnic dinners are welcomed. Jeni’s Ice Creams will be on hand each week selling ice cream, with proceeds benefiting Dublin Arts Council.

The remaining performances of the 29th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto concert series include:
         June 24: Soul Kitch’n (jazz/R&B/soul/funk)

          July 1: Swing’s the Thing (big band/swing)

July 8: Hadden Sayers Band (American blues)

          July 15: Jared Mahone (soul/groove/funk/pop)

July 22: Enrique Infante/Dejavu Latin Fusion (Latin fusion)

July 29: British Invasion (British pop/rock)

The 29th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series is provided as a free gift to the community through the corporate support of Cardinal Health, Fifth Third Bank, IGS Energy, Standley Law Group LLP, and Porter, Wright, Morris and Arthur LLP. The series’ media partners are CW Columbus, WCBE Radio and ThisWeek Newspapers. The event is further supported by in-kind contributions of services from City of Dublin.
