County
Museum Seeks Summer Program Volunteers
The Education Division of the
San Bernardino
County Museum offers volunteer opportunities this summer for adults, seniors, and high school and college-age students 15 years and older. Volunteers will help coordinate family activities
this summer at the Museum during the annual Avoid Summer Brain Drain program.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet their community service requirement while having fun over
the summer,” said Jolene Redvale, the museum’s curator of education. “The hours are flexible, but we do require prospective volunteers to attend a training session and make a commitment of a minimum of 20 hours over the summer.”
Volunteers will help museum visitors enjoy a variety of activities including arts and crafts and playing with
an assortment of games and toys for indoors and outdoors. Avoid Summer Brain Drain programs are scheduled on selected Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends.
Training and orientation will be held on Wednesday June 20 from 9:30 to 1:00 pm at the
San Bernardino
County Museum. Applicants may fill out a volunteer application on line at sbcountymuseum.org or contact the Education Division at (909) 307-2669 ext 252 or 256.
