ALL THE HALL'S A STAGE!
Please join us in the City Hall Courtyard on Wednesday, June 6th at 5:30pm for the summer season kick-off of City Hall Presents, a new series of free events that welcomes the full spectrum of Philadelphia’s performing arts into the spaces of City Hall.
Our string of outdoor concerts starts off with a bang -- literally -- as we welcome three different local percussion ensembles. From 5:30 to 6:30pm, Timbalona y su Bomba, KyoDaiko, and Troupe Da-Da will each take the stage, showcasing their unique contributions to our collective Philadelphia rhythm.
There's something in our summer line-up to suit every taste, whether you prefer gospel or hip-hop, ballet or big band jazz. Catch a favorite artist, or check out something you've never seen before. You can RSVP for upcoming events by visiting the City Hall Presents website.
Organized by the City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, these events aim to bring a new vibrancy to the historic building and inspire citizens to become more active patrons of and participants in the arts. This program is made possible thanks to support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, through its Knight Art Challenge, as well as the William Penn Foundation.
