Los Angeles Modern Auctions
Celebrates 20 Years of Art & Design

LOS ANGELES, CA– Twenty years, almost 60 auctions, and nearly 30,000 lots later, Los Angeles Modern Auctions (LAMA) celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a landmark auction, bringing together exceptional examples of Modern Art & Design spanning much of the 20th century.

The auction is scheduled for: Sunday, September 30, 2012, 12 p.m. (PST).

The anniversary auction will include Modern Fine Art & Design by important 20th century artists and designers such as:

Andy Warhol
George Nakashima
Robert Rauschenberg
Ettore Sottsass
De Wain Valentine
Pablo Picasso
Karl Benjamin
Richard Pettibone
Wayne Thiebaud

Offerings include a rare, monumental coffee table by George Nakashima (est. $100,000 – 150,000), consigned by the original owner, to hit the auction block for the first time. It has all of the elements that collectors are looking for in a table by Nakashima: natural fissures, deep craggy crevices, four rosewood butterfly joints, a very rare asymmetrical base, and a strong, confident signature with the date of 1969.
