The "Appeal for an Alternative" exhibition by Joseph Beuys (1921-1986) is one of the key events
of the Year of Germany in Russia 2012/13. It is the first full-scale exhibition by this influential twentieth-century German artist in Russia.

The "Appeal for an Alternative" exhibition is conceived as a retrospective of Joseph Beuys’ ideas, it
is meant to test how relevant the suggested alternatives are for today and tomorrow.
Opening: September 12, Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. (10 Gogolevsky Boulevard)
Dates: September 13 — November 18 2012
