Basil on Egyptian Moments:
All artists in this show have a connection to Egypt, and we all have visited this country in the past two years. Egypt has always been an epicenter of human history, and today that is still very true.
All artists are showing artwork that is influenced, inspired, or about Egypt, and we are all affiliated with Discover Roxbury, a non-profit organization committed to building community pride and bridges of understanding through engaging arts and culture.
In this exhibit Im introducing Electrostar, one of my fine-art-superheroes, and an avatar for synchronicity. I use this character to continue exploring connections between spirituality and science, and through it I delve specifically into what I learned about art and science while in Egypt. I will share with viewers how I developed this costumed character, photographs from a recent debute of Electrostar, and the costume will be on display during the opening reception.
Thank you Basil
