The exhibition will feature 1001 drawings in ink, each measuring 15 x 15 cm. These will be hung side by side to form an immersive environment that will envelop the viewer and inundate the mind with the captivating images of Almanza's visual universe. The project represents an intense exploration into drawing. This incredible feat of 1001 drawings has been completed in just 4 months. Almanza explains 'when you are drawing for a long time it is almost as if you are draining your code all over the surfaces you touch. In the case of this exhibition we have lots of little squares, lots of little windows, each of which present a series of new possibilities to follow. When you see all these possibilities we can understand immediately that drawing is infinite'.
'His sinuous style of drawing and painting is deeply expressive and represents the journey of the human spirit'
-Tristan Manco (quotation from 'Street Sketchbook Journeys', published by Thames & Hudson, 2010)
