UICA to Announce 2012-2013 Programming on July 12
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – July 6, 2012 – On July 12 at 8:30 PM, UICA will announce the upcoming programs for its 2012-2013 Season. UICA artistic directors will present the upcoming schedule of exhibitions, films, events and educational programs through June 2013. This year, UICA will feature over 75 contemporary art exhibitions, over 60 independent films and over 20 educational programs for families, teens and adults. Programs like ArtPrize and our national-award-winning ArtWorks Youth Program enhance the cultural landscape of West Michigan, establish a haven for creative expression and provide artistic career advancement.
This announcement will be held at 8:30 PM, after the Free Pie Film Premiere event, and will provide details on all of the exciting artistic programming available to the public through June 2013.
The Free Pie Film Premiere event will present 10 films by local filmmakers, including Caleb Slain's short film Free Pie on July 12, from 7-8:30 PM. Following the screenings, audience members will have the unique opportunity to ask questions to the cast, crew and director of Free Pie. This event is $8 for UICA members and $10 for non-members, with free admission to the After Party and Season Announcement.
At 8:30 PM, UICA will present the upcoming 2012-2013 season of programming. This informal event will feature projected images of upcoming programs, live music, food and $2 drink specials. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate a new year of programming and mingle with the cast and crew of Free Pie. The public is invited to attend the After Party and Season Announcement, free for UICA Members and $5 for non-members.
