FREE Admission for New London County Residents
During Free Week, New London County residents can enjoy the special exhibition, On Hudson: Highlights from the Albany Institute of History & Art, which provides extraordinary examples from the Hudson Valley region that has shaped American art and culture for three centuries.

July 17 - July 22
Thanks to a grant from The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, all residents of New London County receive free admission to the Museum. Visitors please show proof of residency.

Along with the current exhibition, visitors can tour the historic Florence Griswold House, restored to its appearance as the boardinghouse for the Lyme Art Colony, stroll through Miss Florence’s historic gardens, and relax along the banks of the Lieutenant River.

Can You Find Me cards in the gallery and a scavenger hunt in the historic house make a trip to the Museum both fun and educational for families. On Sunday, July 22, visitors of any age who want to try their hand at painting are given everything they need to paint down by the river or in Miss Florence's garden. Their masterpiece makes a perfect souvenir for the day.

Midsummer Concert

Free Concert by by River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs

7 - 9pm Find your spot along the Lieutenant River and enjoy the spicy musical gumbo of River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs. Listen to the Zydeco Hogs!
Need a few new dance moves? At 6:30pm, join dance instructor Su Peck for a fun lesson on Zydeco dancing. You'll be ready to go when the music starts!

5 - 7pm Free admission to the special exhibition On Hudson: Highlights from the Albany Institute of History & Art. Read more
