Enrique Infante and Dejavu Latin Fusion
to perform July 22 in Scioto Park
29th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto concert series
DUBLIN, Ohio— (July 11, 2012) Enrique Infante and Dejavu Latin Fusion will perform July 22 during the annual DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series. The popular outdoor concerts feature an array of central Ohio and regional musicians onstage in the outdoor amphitheatre at scenic Scioto Park, 7377 Riverside Dr., in Dublin, just north of the DAC facility and south of Hard Rd. The weekly concerts take place on Sunday evenings through July 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each week. The concerts are free of charge and donations are graciously accepted.
Enrique Infante is an accomplished singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He and his Latin fusion rhythms band, Dejavu, performed at the DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series in 2007.
Infante combines a different style and culture to express art with music, using traditional salsa to provide the base for much of the Latin fusion. Even those not fluent in Spanish will be swayed by the passionate and persuasive vocals that coax the crowd to its feet to dance.
Concert guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the amphitheatre, and picnic dinners are welcomed. Jeni’s Ice Creams will be on hand each week selling ice cream, with proceeds benefiting Dublin Arts Council.
The DAC Sundays at Scioto concert series concludes on July 29 with British pop/rock from The British Invasion. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, since the final concert historically draws a large audience and Scioto Park will close when parking reaches capacity.
If weather conditions appear unfavorable, patrons may call the DAC voice mail at 614/889-7444, visit DAC’s website (www.dublinarts.org), Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DublinArtsCouncil) or Twitter updates (@DublinArts) for information regarding concert delays or cancellations.
The 29th annual DAC Sundays at Scioto summer concert series is provided as a free gift to the community through the corporate support of Cardinal Health, Fifth Third Bank, IGS Energy, Standley Law Group LLP, and Porter, Wright, Morris and Arthur LLP. The series’ media partners are CW Columbus, WCBE Radio and ThisWeek Newspapers. The event is further supported by in-kind contributions of services from City of Dublin.
DAC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, supported in part by an annual endowment from the City of Dublin’s hotel/motel tax and the Ohio Arts Council, which helps fund Dublin Arts Council and its programs with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. DAC is further supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, fundraising events, membership, classes, gallery and gift shop sales and in-kind contributions.
