design exhibition Foodjects: Design and the new cuisine in Spain.
Opening Thursday 19 July 2012 at Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre. Foodjects is a design exhibition of objects and utensils that have been spawned from the exciting movement towards the “new Spanish cuisine” — which is all about surprising the palate with an unexpected flavour, texture or temperature. The 100+ innovative objects on display in Foodjects are masterfully
designed, beautifully crafted, functional and unique to Spain. Like the gastronomical movement that gave rise to their invention, they are often a twist on the traditional, surprising and pleasing to the senses. This exhibition is presented by Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre and the Embassy of Spain. Opening event: 19 July 2012, 6pm. Exhibition dates: 20 July 2012 - 25 August 2012. Location for both: Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre, 1st floor, North Building, 180 London Circuit, Canberra City. Note: Hi res photographs are available.
