His 2011 solo exhibition, Seeker, at Peres Projects in Berlin drew rave reviews. This summer Eddie Martinez follows up with two new paintings shows and a book of drawings published in September featuring an essay by art legend Glenn O'Brien, who notes the totemic powerof Martinez's abstract imagery. Critics have cited influences from Picasso to Hockney to Guston, but go see for yourself at Halsey McKay in East Hampton starting August 10th where Eddie will participate in a two-person show with Jose Lerma.
