The Hyde Park Art Center is uniquely an organization that cultivates Chicago’s next generation of artists while supporting working artists throughout their careers.
Through the involvement and generosity of people like you, the Art Center is able to accomplish this by:
Allowing over 2,000 south side students every year to develop creatively through long-term visual arts education opportunities in CPS classrooms complemented with free access to the Art Center's onsite studio classes
Providing over 1,000 families annually with free art-making and creative learning workshops that they can participate in together through our Second Sundays program
Supporting 150 artists annually with opportunities to move forward in their practice and careers through our exhibition and residency programs
Remaining accessible to the 45,000 people who walk through the Art Center’s doors every year by being free and open to the public seven days a week
