KENOSHA, WI – The Kenosha Public
Museum will have a new temporary exhibit displayed from August 11 –
September 16, 2012. “Biodiversity in the Art of Carel Pieter Brest
van Kempen” will be exhibited in the West Gallery of the museum.
Plus, the exhibit will be joined by some of the animals from the KPM
collection.
Carel Pieter Brest van Kempen's
meticulously executed paintings explore the rich variety of nature.
Mysterious and exotic reptiles and amphibians rendered in brilliant
jewel tones attest to the artist's belief that chief among nature's
hallmarks is its diversity. Seen in natural history and art
magazines, the art of Brest van Kempen has received widespread
acclaim for its realistic looking fur, feathers and habitat. His
paintings capture a fascination for unusual species, allowing viewers
to appreciate the distinctive characteristics of these creatures and
the vital role they play in nature.
The Kenosha Public Museum exhibits are
free and open to the public.
