Showcased are techniques including embellishment, fabric dyeing, fusing, photo transfer, thread painting and more. Also represented: commemorative quilts, historic reproduction quilts, and quilts for a cause.

2 GREAT RAFFLES!

Two wonderful items are now up for raffle to support the programs and mission of the New England Quilt Museum.

December 14, 2012 is the drawing date for a Janome Memory Craft 6600P sewing machine. Also included is a rolling tote, for a total value of $2,599. This fabulous machine was generously donated by Red Barn Sewing & Yarn Center [Merrimack, MA], longtime supporters of the museum. Tickets: $5.

On May 2, 2013, we'll be drawing the name of the lucky winner of a beautiful Aunt Grace Circle of Friends quilt. This 80"x80" quilt, designed by Judie Rothermel and Vicki Bellino, was machine pieced, hand appliqued and quilted by Shirley Bangma from a pattern and fabric donated by Helane Huntington [both of Uxbridge, MA]. We are so thankful for their support! Tickets: $1 ea./6 for $5.

For more information on these raffles, visit our website, drop by the museum, or call 978-452-4207 ext.16.

2 SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Looking for a special exhibition of handmade quilts to feautre at an upcoming event? The New England Quilt Museum has two groups of quilts by local and international artists available for loan.

1. FROM LOBSTAH TO GREEN MONSTAH:
WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT NEW ENGLAND
Enjoy entries by New England quilt guilds made for the 2011 Guild Challenge. These quilts were exhibited at IMAGES 2011 and will be auctioned off in early 2013, with the proceeds benefiting the programs and mission of the New England Quilt Museum.

2. SILVER THREADS CHALLENGE
On the occasion of the museum's Silver Anniversary, quilters were challenged to make a small quilt illustrating what "silver" meant to them. Twenty-nine entries came from as far away as France and were exhibited at IMAGES 2012. This collection of quilts will be available for loan during 2013, after which they will be returned to their makers.

To inquire about borrowing either of these special exhibts, contact Collections Manager Laura Lane (email collections@nequiltmuseum.org; phone 978-452-4207 ext.11).

The Show is Over...
THE SHOW GOES ON

The quilts and fiber art pieces at this year's Lowell Quilt Festival (August 9-11) were some of the most stunning we've ever seen. Receptions and special events around town were outstanding.

Even though the carpet has been rolled up on the 2012 Lowell Quilt Festival and IMAGES quilt show, the excitement continues at partner locations around the city. If you missed the festival or weren't able to visit all the partner sites, there's still time to see terrific exhibitions and enjoy a day out in lovely Lowell.
