The largest retrospective of the artist to be mounted in his hometown, features more than 120 original drawings, paintings, prints, collages, posters and ephemera from his long and important career, and reveals a heretofore unexplored, lifelong fascination with jazz.

10:30 a.m., David Leopold, archivist, Al Hirschfeld Foundation, with wife and historian Louise. Free.

The ensemble performs the newest music being composed today with energetic virtuosity and a sense of adventure, creating programs that not only span a wide range of styles, but also innovate the traditional concert experience itself. The New York Times calls Alarm Will Sound "the future of classical music" and "one of the most vital and original ensembles on the American Music scene."
