Always one of our best-attended events, Open Studios spotlights the 14 amazing artists in our Studio Artist Program. This event is your chance to get access to the spaces where their ambition, mastery of materials, and outrageous ideas all mix. Come meet them and enjoy three other enticements: Food (tasty morsels by a cool caterer), Drinks (let the wine and beer flow), and Music by Bernadette Seacrest (acclaimed femme fatale singer, voted Best Local Vocalist by Creative Loafing in 2010). Archive Action

Thu, Aug 30, 6:30-7:30pm, FREE

Members of the collective John Q (Wesley Chenault, Andy Ditzler, and Joey Orr) discuss their recent work, focusing on queer history and recent exchanges of archival materials between themselves and collaborators in San Francisco. They will open a box of artifacts for the first time at ACAC and invite the audience to discover the objects with them. Free Thursdays proudly sponsored by IntownAPARTMENTS.com by Perennial.

Curator Tour: Deliverance Deconstructed

Thu, Sep 13, 6:30–7:30, FREE

Join Artistic Director Stuart Horodner for a tour and discussion of the current exhibition. He will use works on view to challenge viewers about their own expectations about art, curiosity, and fear. Where else will questions of infidelity, dancing with a salmon, whether or not you'd skin a rat, and advice on success all come together?
