Faster, Higher, Stronger: The Materials of Sport
The Hoyt bow that won eleven medals, an Hermès saddle, Nike’s United States official jacket, team USA’s Mikasa volleyball and beach volleyballs, and Dow materials from the Olympic stadium are just a few of the items on view at Material ConneXion’s latest exhibit, Faster, Higher, Stronger: The Materials of Sport. The exhibit is open to the public from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm until September 28.

Material ConneXion: Intercultural Lunch
and Tour
On August 23rd, Material ConneXion will host a power lunch and tour at its headquarters in New York with a group of 15 Afghani and Central Asian women involved in entrepreneurship and design. The material-focused day, organized in collaboration with the State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program, will see the women involved in learning how better material choices can significantly impact product development and sustainability.

Material ConneXion Bangkok: International Symposium
August 25 - September 10, 2012
The annual International Symposium “Design Opportunities: Innovation, Strategy, Business” will be held in the TCDC building and in creative studios across Bangkok starting on August 25th until September 10th. The activities offered include Creative Space Workshop, International Workshop and International Symposium, which will all explore design’s new opportunities, and where design can be used and applied.
