Events Update from the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles!

Join the ADSLA at one of our signature events, Cocktails in Historic Places, THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!

Cocktails in Historic Places

The Queen Mary Verandah Grill (Sun Deck, Aft)
1126 Queens Highway
Long Beach, CA
(310) 392-2772

Our popular monthly gathering goes truly upscale and high hat as we gather at the elegantly appointed Verandah Bar aboard the Queen Mary, to kick off the seventh annual Queen Mary Art Deco Festival. Join us to meet and mingle with Decophiles from around the country and the globe, dance to the music of Jim Ziegler and the Swingsations, and get the weekend off to a terrific start. Be sure to wear your Deco best, or come dressed to celebrate—you do not have to have tickets to the festival to attend this great gathering! So dust off your glad rags, mark your calendar and help the ADSLA launch this eagerly anticipated event in style.

And, as always, you can come straight from work or slip into something more Deco. Either way, plan to join us for no-host cocktails that is open to members and non-members alike, and no reservations are required.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION—NEW THIS YEAR:

Cocktails in Historic Places aboard the Queen Mary is open to members and non-members alike, but RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED (hotel guests are exempt), so that ADSLA members and guests can forego the Queen Mary's mandatory $15 boarding fee*. You must RSVP before NOON on Thursday, August 30!

* Those attendees not staying aboard the ship who do not register on the official guest list will need to pay the $15 dollar boarding fee to access the ship.

Last chance to join us for the Grand Art Deco Ball on Saturday

A splendid four-course meal followed by dancing until midnight to Dean Mora and the Queen Mary Orchestra. Purchase your tickets online HERE: Just select the date and complete your transaction!

In addition to being a whirlwind weekend of fun and discovery, the Festival also makes an important contribution to ongoing efforts to preserve the original Art Deco design elements aboard the ship.
