The first solo museum exhibition in the United Sates devoted to the celebrated Brooklyn-based multimedia artist Mickalene Thomas.

Materializing "Six Years": Lucy R. Lippard and the Emergence of Conceptual Art
September 14, 2012-February 3, 2013
The first exhibition to explore the impact of the feminist writer, curator, and activist Lucy R. Lippard on the conceptual art movement.

Jean-Michel Othoniel: My Way
August 17-December 2, 2012
The first American retrospective of the work of Jean-Michel Othoniel, one of France's most prominent contemporary artists.

Mickalene Thomas: Origin of the Universe has been organized by the Santa Monica Museum of Art and curator Lisa Melandri. The Brooklyn presentation is organized by Eugenie Tsai, John and Barbara Vogelstein Curator of Contemporary Art, Brooklyn Museum.

Materializing "Six Years": Lucy R. Lippard and the Emergence of Conceptual Art was organized by Catherine Morris, Curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Brooklyn Museum, and Vincent Bonin, an independent curator.

This exhibition is made possible by the Elizabeth A. Sackler Foundation. Additional generous has been provided by the Helene Zucker Seeman Memorial Exhibition Fund.

Jean-Michel Othoniel: My Way was organized by the Centre Pompidou.
