l, Ariana's lush v
oice and exquisite compositions take the listener on a mystical and soulful journey. Most often compared to Celtic singer Loreena McKennitt, Ariana is a spellbinding artist, escorting audiences into realms untouched by the day-to-day. The exotic fusion of sounds that inspire her music draw upon her gypsy roots, traditional music of India and the Middle-East, and Celtic and Spanish flavorings. Through her entrancing melodies, sultry grooves, and compelling lyricism, Ariana becomes a siren for the soulfully seeking. She does so in the most enchanting way, through the uncommon passion and lush purity of her angelic voice.

MARYA STARK: As a performing artist, Marya is lucid and fierce. Her music is a fusion of classical art song, traditional folk, melodramatic indie pop, and experimental live vocal looping.
Marya is trained in Music Therapy, and Medical QiGong, and has drawn much inspiration for her music from her studies and experiences in holistic medicine and mysticism. Her first release "Fork in the Road: Live" is an alche
mical journey, a song cycle guiding the listener through stages of healing and empowerment. This song cycle is the first part of a curriculum used in rite of passage works, and was a work developed as a part of her thesis in the healing arts.
In her current body of work, Marya's songs portray a variety of moods and voices, speaking into the archetypal nature of the human design. Her lyrics range from being compelling, emotional, humorous and imaginative, dark and mysterious, to anthemic and empowering. Her voice and guitar arrangements are distinctive, showcasing a refined breathing musicality. She has a commanding and engaging stage presence, both playful and warrior alike, guiding the listener through the mind of the maverick and the heart of the goddess.
Marya is currently putting the finishing touches on her debut studio album "The Garden, due out fall 2012.
