The Museum of Nebraska Art presents
The Art of Living, on view October 5, 2012 – January 27, 2013
>From hand-crafted artworks to those mass produced, this exhibition examines the objects that inhabit our homes and adorn our bodies. Each work included in
The Art of Living has a foundation in the practical, yet designed with an aesthetic intent. Featuring works created over the last 100 years, the pieces carry the mark of their maker, sometimes pushing the boundaries of
“functional” art. Artists represented are both regionally and internationally recognized including Eric Berggren, Sheila Hicks, Robert Hillestad, Jake Jacobson, Sydney Lynch, John Nygren, Bonnie O’Connell, Don Shoemaker, and Jean Thiessen.
