Gary Hill: glossodelic attractors (part two)

LAST CHANCE! Closes September 16

Gary Hill is internationally renowned as a pioneer in video, sound art, performance, and installation. glossodelic attractors includes over a dozen works that investigate how visual and verbal communication are experienced at the phenomenological level, and how that experience creates meaning.

Many works in the exhibition were rotated in August.  Three works included in the first iteration of this exhibition remain on view -- Up Against Down (2008), and two large-scale installations, Withershins (1995) and The Psychedelic Gedankenexperiment (2011) -- and provide the anchors for the new works on view, which include Remarks On Color (1994), Remembering Paralinguay (2000), Switchblade (1998-1999), Is A Bell Ringing in the Empty Sky (2005) and others. Visit the exhibition through September 16th to see how it has changed.

Gary Hill: glossodelic attractors is made possible with generous support from Artist Trust, ArtsFund, and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation

The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl

Through October 7

The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl, is the first museum exhibition to explore the culture of vinyl records within the history of contemporary art. Curated by Trevor Schoonmaker, Patsy R. and Raymond D. Nasher Curator of Contemporary Art at the Nasher Museum. The Henry presentation of The Record is organized by Curator Sara Krajewski with generous support from ArtsFund, 4Culture/King County Lodging Tax, and the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs.
