FREE Distinguished Poets Read Among Mark Di Suvero Sculptures [9/22]

Spend an afternoon with distinguished poets Yusef Komunyakaa, Tan Lin, Paul Muldoon and Brenda Shaughnessy as they read from their works with the backdrop of large-scale steel sculptures by Mark di Suvero. Works read are based on the sculptures that are on view in the exhibition Mark di Suvero at Governors Island.

Giallo Fever!

The Archives presents a film series dedicated the giallo ("yellow") genre. This refers to Italian thrillers that grew out of pulp fiction novels starting in the mid- 1960s. The first evening of this 10-day festival features Dario Argento's Bird with Crystal Plumage, about a writer who witnesses a murder and the consequences that follow, plus Mario Bava's The Girl Who Knew Too Much, in which a woman witnesses a murder and tries to solve the crime herself.

 


 

Thirteen Harmonies

Part of the "Locating the Sacred" festival, Thirteen Harmonies plays a partial arrangement of composer John Cage's work completed in 1985 for violin and piano.

The Tin Drum

Person of Interest: Exclusive screening of season premiere
