2 Fantastic Events on Saturday October 6th!
1. Panel Discussion with artists from the exhibition, The Subterraneans – featuring artists who run Los Angeles’ alternative art spaces. This panel will explore the relationship between making art and presenting the work of others. Moderated by Jason Ramos. Panelists TBA
This event will begin at 6.00pm (instead of 5pm – so artists for panel need to be told)
2. Film Screening of "Everyday Sunshine – The Story of Fishbone" and Panel Discussion
Starts at 7.30pm, running time 107 minutes – panel begins immediately after and will feature the Directors and hopefully some band members!!
Please join us for a screening of "Everyday Sunshine – The Story of Fishbone", a documentary by Lev Anderson and Chris Metzler. From the shifting fault-lines of Hollywood fantasies and the economic and racial tensions of Reagan’s America, Fishbone rose and became one of the most original bands of the last 25 years. With a blistering combination of punk and funk they demolished the walls of genre and challenged the racial stereotypes and political order of the music industry and of the nation.
