GOLDENBOY are excited to re-release their outstanding debut lp BLUE SWAN ORCHESTRA today via EENIE MEENIE RECORDS. The album, which firmly planted Goldenboy on the West Coast music scene, and until now has been out of print, has been completely remastered and is available on beautiful 12” vinyl with two bonus tracks + digital download card via Eenie Meenie Records and at every show on their current tour. The band also announces the upcoming release of a brand new album, THE NEW FAMILIAR, out this November. A bookend release to the BLUE SWAN ORCHESTRA debut, of the new album, Goldenboy founder/frontman Shon Sullivan (Spain, Elliott Smith), says, “When people ask me, ‘What do you sound like?,’ I have to think. A little bit of Belle & Sebastian, a bit of heavy guitar riffs that really go off, then with some atmospheric, dreamy ‘80s kind of stuff? We’re not really indie-sounding, but we’re not too pop-sounding, either. We have our own genre: The New Familiar.”
GOLDENBOY are currently on tour showcasing songs old and new, and will be performing at CMJ next week. Willamette Week advises, “You need to make sure to see it [Goldenboy band] at least once.” We agree! These veterans of the stage put on a show that is equally impressive and engaging!
